Social Justice Groups Collaborate to Host Party at the Polls, Encouraging Voter Turnout
Atlanta, GA, March 12, 2024 – In a vibrant effort to bolster voter engagement and participation, an exciting event is set to take place at the Advance Auto Parts store parking lot located on Metropolitan Avenue in Atlanta on March 12, 2024, from 11-7. This event, organized by Georgia STAND-UP, Black Voters Matter, and Me Too International, aims to engage and celebrate Georgia voters' participation in the democratic process through music, food, and a festive atmosphere.
With the upcoming Presidential Preference Primary Election on March 12, it's crucial to emphasize the significance of voter turnout. The event seeks to create a welcoming environment that encourages residents to exercise their right to vote. Community leaders and public officials have been invited to join in this celebration of democracy.
The event will feature food trucks and live music making it an enjoyable experience for attendees of all ages. It will run from 11:00 AM until 7:00 PM, coinciding with the closing of the polls. There will be an official Press Conference at 4:30 pm from the parking lot. Notably, gathering less than 500 people does not require a permit, ensuring a seamless and hassle-free event for all involved.
