General Census Information

"Information collected in the census can help us better our communities! Some of the information is used to distribute federal funding to states and local governments, assist federal and state agencies in administering programs, determine Congressional representation and for redistricting. The purpose of the census it to generate an accurate number of people in the states' population."

Clayton County

Dekalb County

Clayton county is a county in the northern part of the Atlanta area. As of the 2010 census, the population was 259,424.

Fulton County

DeKalb County is included in the Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Roswell, GA Metropolitan area being the states forth largest county with a population of 691,893.

Fulton County holds a place in the metropolitan area of Atlanta. As of 2018 estimates, the population was 1,050,114, making it the state's most populous county and its only one with over 1 million residents.

Its no April Fool's, National Census Day takes place on April 1st, 2020. Wherever you lay your head on April 1st, is where you will be counted for the national census. Please be sure to mark your calendars, tell family and friends for this important date!
