Working to empower communities to address their growing needs, Stand-Up builds civic capacity and leadership from within neighborhoods and communities so that those leaders can take an active role in shaping how their neighborhoods change and develop. In order to fulfill its mission,

Through these programs, members of our alliance gain not only an understanding of the tools that governments and private entities use in changing and developing neighborhoods, but also they gain the skills to be active partners in shaping the way that those changes occur.
