The Office of the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman (Georgia Division of Aging Services) invites you to join us for a day-long symposium call "Changing the Culture of Long Term Care." The symposium is an opportunity to explore the Culture Change movement, which is based on person-centered values and practices, where the voices of elders and those working with them always come first. Representatives from Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs), ombudsman programs, legislators, regulators, and long-term care providers will explore Culture Change transformation, learn about models used nationwide, share best practices, discuss obstacles, and brainstorm ideas for local and long-term progress.
Keynote speakers will be Rose Marie Fagan, former Executive Director of the Pioneer Network; Karen Nichols, Executive Director of the Cascade Verdae; and Kim McRae, Co-Founder and Coordinator of the Culture Change Network of Georgia.
Registration is open from July 18 to August 31. The program is free to the 1st 180 participants registered.
