I'm excited to announce that CBS Atlanta News anchor and reporter, JaQuitta Williams will serve as Mistress of Ceremonies for our inaugural Stand-Up & Act Awards on Thursday, November 11th! Upon accepting our invitation, JaQuitta, who joined CBS Atlanta News earlier this year after spending 4 years with WSB-TV, said she was honored to serve as Mistress of Ceremonies. I think I can speak for the entire STAND-UP team when I say the feeling is mutual.

Atlanta City Council Unanimously Passes the BeltLine Community Benefits Policy!

Today, October 4, 2010, in a unanimous vote, the Atlanta City Council passed 10-R-1734, a resolution detailing twelve Community Benefits Principles to be included in all development using tax allocation district dollars (TAD) in the forty-five neighborhoods along the Atlanta BeltLine.  This legislation fulfills an historic requirement created almost five years ago by the councilmembers that a community benefit policy be created for the BeltLine to ensure that residents of impacted neighborhoods can benefit from the promises of the project.  These community benefits, develope Read more »
