Today, October 4, 2010, in a unanimous vote, the Atlanta City Council passed 10-R-1734, a resolution detailing twelve Community Benefits Principles to be included in all development using tax allocation district dollars (TAD) in the forty-five neighborhoods along the Atlanta BeltLine.  This legislation fulfills an historic requirement created almost five years ago by the councilmembers that a community benefit policy be created for the BeltLine to ensure that residents of impacted neighborhoods can benefit from the promises of the project.  These community benefits, develope Read more »
